Terms and conditions

In using www.talongear.co.za ("Site"), you agree to be legally bound to all terms and conditions listed below. Talon Gear reserves the right to change the terms and conditions on this Site at any stage.

1. Online Ordering System 

Talon Gear online shop allows shoppers to purchase products over the internet. Once payment has been confirmed, these products will be shipped to a delivery address stipulated by the purchaser.

Talon Gear currently only delivers within South Africa. If you need to ship something overseas, please contact us to discuss whether this is possible.

On most purchases Talon Gear offers free delivery on all orders over a stipulated amount. If your purchase does not include free delivery, you will be informed thereof once your final order has been placed and payment on the item has been made. Payment for delivery will be additional to the payment you have made on the PayFast site.

If an item which you have purchased suddenly becomes unavailable due to shortage, once payment has been made, you will automatically be be put onto a waiting list, and will be informed thereof. This does not usually take more than 2 weeks, as the item is ordered direct from the manufacturers. As soon as the item is availlable, it will be delivered to you. If you are not happy with these terms, you can contact us on the below details, and we will be happy to refund you.

Talon Gear reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, and terminate accounts at the company's discretion. You will be notified thereof should this happen, and monies will be reimbursed if need be, unless reasoning for cancelling was due to illegal activities on behalf of the purchaser.

2. Security on the online ordering system 

Talon Gear does not disclose any of your personal details to other companies or individuals. We do not keep a record of, or store, any part of your credit card details.

Talon Gear does keep records of certain personally identifiable information, such as your name, contact details, shipping address and billing address. This information is very often necessary in processing your order.

If you indicate that you want to receive emails from Talon Gear, you might find it interesting to read our email privacy policy, which is listed below in section # 5.

3. Shipping 

RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers™ (www.ramgroup.co.za) is in charge of delivering all products purchased from www.talongear.co.za. If you have any questions or concerns regarding delivery, please contact RAM Couriers through one of the following channels:

All Talon Gear products purchased off our site will be shipped to the supplied delivery address within 5 working days of purchase.

Please note that RAM Couriers will only deliver to a physical address, and not a P.O. Box number. RAM requires that each and every delivery be signed for, as proof of delivery. If delivery to a PO Box is required, we will make use of Speed Services.

4. Returns

If you wish to return something that you purchased online at  www.talongear.co.za because you are not content with what you've purchased, you can do so in one of two ways:

1.     Return the selected item directly to our offices in Umhlanga Rocks (address below), together with your invoice, and your return will be dealt with as soon as possible.

2.     Send the selected item back to our online shop, together with your invoice, and your credit card will be refunded with the appropriate amount. Please note that in this eventuality, the cost of couriering the product back to our online shop is covered by the purchaser. The address details are as follows:

If you wish to return something that you purchased online at www.talongear.co.za because the item you received is either damaged, or not what you ordered, you can do so in one of two ways:

1.     Return the selected item directly to our offices in Umhlanga Rocks (above address), together with your invoice, and your return will be dealt with as soon as possible.

2.     Email info@talongear.co.za and request us to collect the purchase in question. Talon Gear will send RAM to collect the damaged/incorrect product, at their own cost, and resend you the faultless/correct product in return.

5. Privacy Policy

Talon Safaris will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with / to anyone outside of the company unless ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to Talon Gear is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to the company's communications with you.

We have created this email privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information. We use security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used by our system.

If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with us as someone who has expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ("opt-in"), or (b) you have registered on our website or otherwise have an existing relationship with us. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings.
